Kara Grice graduated from the sign language interpret training program at Seattle Central in 2006. Since then she has been working as a freelance interpreter and at Oregon State University, interpreting for post-graduate students. Kara started volunteering for Life's Handy Work as the secretary when it was founded in 2010 by her sister, Laura, and brother-in-law, Justin. While she hasn't had the opportunity to travel to Nepal, she enjoys hearing about the opportunities Life's Handy Work provides the children of Nepal Orphans home. She also enjoys planning and attending fundraiser events where she gets the chance to connect with family and friends who support the cause. She lives in Albany, Oregon with her husband and dogs.
