Laura Handy-Nimick

In 2009 Laura Handy-Nimick traveled to Nepal to volunteer for Nepal Orphans Home and Volunteer Nepal and fell in love with the children and the culture. With a graduate degree in education she was able to impact the lives of children in ways she hadn't experienced as a public school teacher in the U.S. A year later she co-founded Life's Handy Work with her husband, Justin, with the goal of providing services to transition the children of Nepal Orphans Home into adulthood via education, vocational training and small business grants. Laura currently teaches middle school English, history and leadership while running Life's Handy Work and planning her next trip back to Nepal.
